The Garden, a multimedia structured improvisation, is a meditation on themes that are universal to all of us. This garden, full of faint memories, is a place we can transcend space and time—like childhood memories that suddenly appear in dreams—and connects us to nature through highly metaphoric associations with both matter and spirit. The roots of the tree of life allow for this transcendence and for the metamorphosis of flesh into spirit and for stones to come to life. This hour-long performance brings the garden to life through dance, live music, and live painting.

The Garden was premiered at NOHspace, San Francisco, CA. This performance has been made possible by grant from Theatre Bay Area in partnership with Dancers’ Group.

And than The Garden was presented with Laura Maguier at Stanford University, CA. Co-Sponsored by the Stanford Art Initiative & Introduction to the Humanities "Art of Living"
