Landscape #1, a multi-media performance-installation
With Avy K Productions I am participating in the 27th annual West Wave Dance Festival at the Joe Goode Annex program #5 this Sunday, April 7, 7 PM
Tickets and more about the festival HERE
Avy K Productions’ “landscape dances” series explores the theme of immigration by re-considering definitions of ‘home’ and ‘rootedness.’ As someone who immigrated 6 times, we associate roots with rootlessness. Contemplating our own body in its landscape, we ask questions: What is my landscape these days? What about the horizon of the landscape?
Landscape #1 is a structured improvisation combining dance, visual art, and music in a poetic abstract installation-performance.
The work features the dancing of Erika Tsimbrovsky, Mihyun Lee, live drawing & paper installation by Vadim Puyandaev, music by London-based musician/composer Grundik Kasyansky.
