From the Museum Wall to My Open Studio
If you couldn’t come to my recent open studio, I’m opening it again on October 3 and 4 as part of SF Open Studios. I’d like to share a few images from past exhibitions before welcoming you into the space where I work today.
In 2015, my solo exhibition Suggestions of Life in the Dappled was shown at the Hermitage Art Center in San Francisco. This video offers a look at the exhibition.
Later that year, I presented Extraordinary Essence, a solo exhibition at Vorres Gallery in San Francisco. The photographs below show some of the paintings in the gallery, including works from my Boats and figurative series.
Two years later, I created large-scale painting installations for Red Wind #2 at the Eleanor D. Wilson Museum at Hollins University. Working at that scale let color and movement extend across an entire wall. The photographs here show what it was like to stand in front of the paintings.
At SF Open Studios, you can see my recent paintings and xylography up close, ask me about the work, and spend time looking at individual pieces. Artworks will be available for purchase.
